Ledger Blade Scaffolding Part for Cuplock Locking
A ledger blade is the small forged end piece welded to both ends of a cuplock ledger pipe. It does not look big, but it decides whether the ledger locks cleanly into the cup joint or gives workers trouble on site.
In cuplock scaffolding, the blade slides into the bottom cup of the standard. Then the top cup locks it down. If the blade shape is rough, too loose, or badly welded, the ledger will not sit right. Workers feel the problem immediately during assembly.
This is why ledger blade scaffolding parts need more attention than many buyers expect.
Forged Steel Blade for 48.3mm Scaffold Tube
This ledger blade is made from Q235 / #35 forged steel by drop forging or hot forging. Forging gives the blade a denser body and better shape control than lightly fabricated parts.
It fits a 48.3 mm OD scaffold tube, with tube thickness options such as 3.0 mm, 3.2 mm, or customized thickness. That makes it suitable for common cuplock ledger pipe production.
For factories making ledgers in bulk, the blade must match the pipe end properly. A small mismatch can affect welding, straightness, and the final ledger fit inside the scaffolding systems.
With Hole and Without Hole Options
We supply two common designs: Cuplock Ledger Blade Without Hole and Cuplock Ledger Blade With Hole.
The holeless type weighs about 0.21 kg. It is often chosen for standard ledger production where buyers want a simple, clean forged end. The whole type weighs about 0.25 kg, giving buyers another option when their drawing, market habit, or inspection requirement calls for that style.
Both designs can be supplied in self-color, electro-galvanized, yellow zinc, or hot-dip galvanized finishes. Color options include black, silver, gold, or a customized finish. For export orders, finish is not just appearance. It affects storage time, rust resistance, and how the parts look after sea freight.
Welding, Locking, and Bulk Production Details
The blade is welded to both ends of the cuplock ledger pipe. CO₂ welding or robotic welding can be used, depending on order volume and production requirements.
For buyers, weld quality is a real point to check. The blade should sit straight with the pipe centerline. If the blade angle is off, the ledger may still “fit,” but workers will fight the cup joint during installation. That slows down the whole scaffolding job.
This product works with Cuplock scaffolding system components and locks by being inserted into the bottom cup and fixed by the top cup. EN 12810 / EN 12811 system test options can be discussed for project orders. Packing can be arranged by woven bag, steel pallet, or customized packing, depending on how the buyer wants to handle cuplock scaffolding accessories in the warehouse.
