A cuplock three board side bracket is used when a normal scaffold bay does not give enough reach. This happens around façades, pipe racks, tanks, balconies, plant equipment, and wide wall surfaces.

On-site, workers do not just need “a bracket”. They need enough standing width to move tools, place materials, and work near the structure without leaning too far from the main platform.

This bracket supports three scaffold boards, so it gives a much wider side platform than one-board or two-board brackets. For real scaffolding work, that extra width can make cladding, rendering, painting, inspection, and maintenance work safer and faster.

Tubular Side Bracket with Real Load Path

That tube combination matters. The 48.3mm main tube gives the bracket its working span and board support. The smaller support tube helps transfer force back toward the cuplock standard, instead of leaving the bracket as a weak cantilever.

The unit weight is around 6.5–7.6kg, depending on material, weld detail, and finish. This is not a light accessory bracket. It is a wider access component, so buyers should check tube thickness, weld position, support tube angle, and batch consistency before ordering.

Cuplock Blade End and Anti-Rotation Ledger

The bracket connects through a cuplock blade end and fixes at the cup joint of the cuplock standard. In cuplock scaffolding, this blade-to-cup fit decides whether the bracket locks cleanly or gives workers trouble during installation.

For three-board use, anti-rotation control is not optional. Cuplock technical guidance says two-board and three-board hop-up brackets should be connected with an additional ledger, often called the 3rd ledger, to prevent rotation.

This is where many cheap product pages stay silent. A three-board bracket may look strong in a photo, but once workers stand on the extended platform, rotation force appears at the cup joint. The additional ledger helps tie the brackets together, making the side platform feel more stable during daily use.

Material, Finish, and Bulk Project Supply

This cuplock three board side bracket can be made from Q235, Q345, or high-strength steel. Q235 works for regular access projects. Q345 or higher strength steel is a better choice when buyers expect rental-yard handling, repeated installation, rough storage, or heavier site conditions.

Surface treatment can be hot-dip galvanized, painted, or powder-coated. For export orders, outdoor storage, and long project cycles, a hot-dip galvanized finish is the safer recommendation. Painted and powder-coated finishes can work for controlled projects, but they need better handling during shipping and stacking.
